Once again Jon Stewart has both accurately and humorously told the not so funny truth about the silly games being played by some of those naughty frat-boys from the Alpha Dumblican House who always put their interests ahead of the American people.

Mitch Gilbert is a social worker, writer, and religious educator. As Mr. Honigman writes now in op-ed: Personally, I prefer my anti-Semites out in the open–so I give Hagel credit for that. Lately, I’m getting sick of some of my fellow-Jews myself. Too many appear set to jump onto the cattle cars yet again–or worse, be accomplices to others shoving their brethren abroad onto them. This is, after all, what a return by Israel to the imposed armistice lines–not borders–of 1949 would likely translate into and the major cause of friction with the Obama crew. It is also what the fight over the settlement issue is largely all about: Judeans–Jews–once again living in Judea and in Jerusalem near their Temple Mount.
1. Florence, would you like to provide more information on who Mr. Honigman is and where the op-ed piece you make reference to can be found?
2. You do realize that Republicans aren’t blocking confirmation of Hagel out of loyalty to Israel or the Jews. This all about revenge for Hagel’s telling the world the truth about what deceitful incompetent Bush II was.
Speaking as the son and grandson of Holocaust survivors who is named for an uncle gassed in Auschwitz, I’m always very uncomfortable if not outright offended all exaggerated comparisons to the Holocaust. Whether someone is describing aggressive behavior as “Nazis” or “gestopo” like. For that matter, because someone doesn’t share your point of view doesn’t make him/her a self-hating Jew who anxious termination in concentration camp. I’m determined to tone down my own vitriol towards people I have disagreements with Florence, I can’t encourage you strongly enough to do the same.
